Fire Safety Officer

Provides technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical data, including laboratory or material test results and engineering design changes Produces engineering documentation, reports, drawings, flow charts, block diagrams, and schematics Performs detailed mathematical calculations using established formulas Conducts preliminary analyses of data where guidelines are provided Makes quantitative judgments concerning technical data Uses a personal computer to perform analyses and develop documentation and reports May conduct tests and record data to assist with engineering evaluation or analysis Requirements Associate's Degree and 6 years of relevant experience One of the following may be used as equivalent to Associate's Degree: NNS Apprentice School graduate; Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate; High School/GED and 2 years of related Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience; High School/GED and 4 years of non-related Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience U.S. Citizenship required Navy Fire Marshall qualification, Carrier Navy experience, and technical writing background are nice to have Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in technical support, data analysis, and engineering documentation. Proficient in performing mathematical calculations and producing detailed reports and schematics.
