Business and Operations Manager

Overview The Sitka Campus Business and Operations Manager provides fiscal oversight, administrative management and strategic leadership for the University of Alaska Southeast (UAS) Sitka Campus. This position ensures fiscal compliance, optimizes day‑to‑day business functions, and supervises business services and campus facilities staff. It serves as a key advisor to the Campus Director and assumes campus leadership during the Director's absence. To excel, the manager must supervise and lead teams, develop and manage restricted and unrestricted budgets, understand fiscal regulations and grant processes, and use enterprise systems for workflow optimization. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with knowledge of strategic planning, are essential for navigating organizational challenges. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and five years progressively responsible experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. A valid driver's license and clean driving record in compliance with UA Safe Driving Criteria. Position Details This full‑time, exempt staff position is located on the Sitka campus of the University of Southeast. Compensation includes a competitive salary and a full employee benefits package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision coverage.
