Electrical Maintenance Technician (2nd Shift)

Position: Electrical Maintenance Technician (2nd Shift)

Type: 9-month Contract

Location: North Reading, MA (fully on-site)

Shift Timings: 3:00pm - 11:30pm EST

Day to Day Responsibilities:

• Perform repairs and structural improvements to the building infrastructure and racking systems.
• Execute preventative maintenance routines and maintain detailed documentation for all equipment.
• Maintain and troubleshoot automated conveyor systems, material handling equipment, and pneumatic systems.
• Service and support critical facility systems including HVAC and fire protection.
• Manage department inventory, including the tracking and organized storage of spare parts.
• Perform metal and wood fabrication tasks, including specialized welding projects.

Must haves:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficiency in maintaining and repairing automated conveyor systems and controls.
• Solid understanding of electrical and electronic principles.
• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints and electrical schematics.
• Background in HVAC maintenance and the repair of material handling equipment.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and navigate small spaces, heights, or uneven surfaces

Plusses:

• Degree from a trade school or college with a focus on Mechanical or Electrical fields.
• 4+ years of apprenticeship or equivalent professional experience in a technical trade.
• Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple priorities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for coordinating with vendors and management.

Salary and Compensation:

The hourly rate for this position is between $23 - $25 per hour . Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
