Description:


CT Technologist
Shift Details: 4x10 | Monday - Friday | 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM EST | On-call/callback, holidays, and occasional weekends
Duties and Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to initiating the scan, strictly adhering to department policy and procedure for patient safety
• Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging
• Prepare patients for scans and explain the procedure to help them feel comfortable
• Insert IVs when necessary for the test
• Position patients accordingly, which may include lifting or moving patients with limited mobility; must utilize safe patient handling
• Maintain accurate patient record keeping by properly documenting all necessary components within EPIC, including identifying images and assuring images are sent to the PACS system correctly upon exam completion
• Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility

Requirements

• Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology
• Active certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• NYS licensure (must be obtained prior to starting position)
• Candidates currently registered in NYS will be required to have injection therapy certification stated on their license at time of submission
• Minimum two (2) years of CT experience
• Level 1 Trauma Center experience
• BLS certification (American Heart Association ONLY)
• Telemetry

Preferred Qualifications

• Injection certification preferred; must be willing to complete during the orientation process
• Knowledge of Philips and Siemens equipment preferred
