About the Position

Job Title: CT Technologist Profession: Allied Level 2 CT Tech Specialty: Exception: CT Tech Duration: 17 weeks Shift: Weekday Evenings Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of CT experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center. License: Client Rad Tech license (must obtain prior to starting position) Certifications: ARRT certification, BLS certification through the American Heart Association Must-Have: - Injection therapy certification (required at the time of submission). - Effective written and verbal communication skills. - A patient and compassionate disposition. - Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Description: Confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to initiating the scan while adhering to department policy and procedures for patient safety. Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging. Prepare patients for scans and explain the procedure to help them feel comfortable. Insert IVs when necessary for the test. Position patients accordingly, which may include lifting or moving patients with limited mobility. Utilize safe patient handling techniques. Maintain accurate patient record keeping by properly documenting all necessary components within the electronic health record system. Ensure that images are sent to the PACS system correctly upon exam completion. Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility. Knowledge of Philips and Siemens equipment is preferred. Injection certification is preferred and candidates must be willing to complete it during the orientation process.
