Technologist I, Laboratory Generalist - Laboratory - Mannington

MAJOR FUNCTION:Performs testing and quality control procedures as a generalist in all operational departments relevant to the site and shift of hire. Ensure operation of laboratory instrumentation by calibrating; completing preventive maintenance requirements; troubleshooting malfunctions; evaluating new equipment and techniques. Perform, evaluate, and record quality control and institute corrective action as appropriate. Take part in proficiency sample testing, when appropriate. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public. Perform any other duties necessary to run an efficient and effective laboratory. Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
