ROLE OVERVIEW  

As ETC's Luxury Window Treatment & Shading Specialist, you are responsible for growing one of the fastest-growing segments of our business—automated shades, drapery systems, and luxury window treatment solutions. 

You will work closely with homeowners, interior designers, architects, builders, and property managers to design elegant, functional shading solutions that enhance comfort, privacy, energy efficiency, and the overall living experience. 

This is a consultative sales role that blends design, relationship development, and technical solution selling. You will own the sales process from prospecting through installation handoff while serving as ETC's subject matter expert for motorized window treatments. 

Beyond closing shading projects, you'll identify opportunities to introduce clients to ETC's complete portfolio of luxury technology solutions including lighting control, home automation, networking, audio/video, and security. 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES  

1. Business Development  

Develop new opportunities through proactive networking and relationship building with:  

• Interior Designers  
• Architects  
• Luxury Home Builders  
• Remodelers  
• Property Managers  
• Existing ETC Clients  
• High-net-worth Homeowners  

Generate your own pipeline while nurturing long-term referral partnerships that create recurring business.

2. Design Consultation  

Conduct in-home consultations to evaluate: 

• Window conditions  
• Privacy requirements  
• Solar exposure  
• Light control  
• Energy efficiency  
• Aesthetic preferences  
• Fabric selections  
• Hardware finishes  
• Motorization options  

Guide clients toward beautiful solutions that complement the home's architecture and interior design. 

3. Solution Design & Proposal Development  

Design comprehensive shading packages utilizing premium manufacturers. 

Prepare professional proposals including: 

• Product recommendations  
• Fabric selections  
• Hardware specifications  
• Motorization options  
• Control integration  
• Installation scope  
• Project investment  

Collaborate with ETC's engineering and project management teams to ensure successful execution. 

4. Relationship Management  

Become a trusted advisor to the luxury design community. 

Maintain consistent communication with: 

• Interior Designers  
• Builders  
• Architects  
• Existing Clients  

Attend networking events, showroom presentations, lunch-and-learns, and industry functions to increase ETC's visibility within the luxury residential market. 

5. Pipeline & CRM Management  

Maintain disciplined pipeline management in Crm. Accurate stage tracking, consistent follow-up cadence, and reliable cash-collected forecasting. Weekly activity reporting (calls, meetings, proposals sent, closed deals). Weekly 1-on-1 reviews with your manager. 

6. Performance & Sales Culture  

Embody the 'WOW & AMAZE' philosophy in every client interaction. Build genuine, long-term relationships. Improve your close rates and deal sizes every quarter. Hit or exceed quarterly quota ($375K cash collected / $1.5M annually). Compete professionally with peers. Be coachable and continuously improve your craft. 

7. Cross-Selling Opportunities  

Identify opportunities to introduce additional ETC services including: 

• Architectural Lighting  
• Ketra Lighting  
• Home Automation  
• Audio & Video  
• Security Systems  
• Networking  
• Outdoor Entertainment  

Work collaboratively with ETC sales professionals to maximize client value while generating referral opportunities between departments.

The Experience:  

You have 3–5+ years of outside sales experience closing deals in the $10K–$100K range (B2B, luxury B2C, enterprise). You understand consultative selling, multi-stakeholder alignment, and long decision cycles. You're comfortable with variable compensation—no guaranteed big paycheck, but unlimited upside for hungry performers.

You honor commitments and return calls/emails same-day. You're tech-literate and can pick up CRM, D-Tools, and smart home platforms quickly without hand-holding. 

COMPENSATION STRUCTURE  

Base Salary:  

$55,000–$65,000 annually (experience-dependent)  

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS  

✓ 3–5+ years of outside sales experience (B2B, high-touch B2C, or enterprise). Track record of hitting quota and closing deals in the $10K–$100K range. 

✓ Proven prospecting and self-sourced lead-generation skills. You can build your own pipeline and drive deals to close without constant hand-holding. 

✓ Consultative sales approach. You ask smart questions, listen actively, diagnose pain, and tailor solutions. Not an order-taker, but a trusted problem-solver. 

✓ Commission mentality. You're driven by upside earnings and comfortable with variable compensation. You know your numbers and chase quota aggressively. 

✓ Tech-comfortable. You can pick up CRM (Salesforce), D-Tools design software, and smart home platform basics quickly. 

✓ Excellent communication and follow-through. Clients and peers trust you to deliver on promises. You return calls same-day. You show up. 

✓ Coachable and competitive. You listen to feedback, improve continuously, and want to be the best on the team. 

✓ Strong work ethic and integrity. You build genuine client relationships. You do what you say. You're professional in every interaction. 

✓ Luxury Residential Sales Experience  

NICE-TO-HAVES (NOT REQUIRED)  

• Smart home, AV, or automation technology background (we'll train the technical details) 

• Existing relationships in Palm Beach real estate, interior design, or luxury home services 

• Experience with D-Tools, Salesforce, or similar sales/design platforms
