We are hiring a Tech Lead Full Stack Developer for a full-time position based in Santa Monica, California with a leading aviation technology company. This organization builds mission-critical software supporting flight operations, safety systems, and enterprise aviation platforms. The technology stack includes React on the frontend and Golang, Node.js, and/or Java on the backend, deployed on modern cloud infrastructure.
This is a standout opportunity to take ownership of high impact aviation systems where reliability, performance, and scale truly matter. The team is looking for a hands-on technical leader who enjoys mentoring engineers, shaping architecture, and solving complex engineering challenges in a regulated environment. You'll gain exposure to large scale distributed systems, real world operational constraints, and long term platform design while maintaining strong work-life balance and career growth into senior technical or engineering leadership paths.
Required Skills & Experience
· 7+ years of professional software development experience
· Strong expertise in React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript
· Backend experience with Golang, Node.js, or Java (deep expertise in at least one)
· Experience designing and building RESTful APIs and backend services
· Proven experience serving as a Tech Lead or Senior Engineer
· Strong understanding of system design, scalability, and performance
· Experience working in agile development environments
Desired Skills & Experience
· Aviation, transportation, or safety-critical systems experience
· Experience with microservices and distributed systems
· Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
· Docker and Kubernetes exposure
· CI/CD pipeline and DevOps collaboration
· Experience mentoring engineers and conducting code reviews
