The range may vary if the role outside of this location. Base salaries are determined during our interview process, by assessing a candidate's experience, skills against internal peers and against the scope and responsibilities of the position.Position Summary:We are looking for a talented manufacturing engineer to evaluate and improve manufacturing processes. The manufacturing engineer's responsibilities include identifying areas for improvement, maintaining high levels of manufacturing and product quality, designing new products and methods, as well as ensuring cost-efficiency and conformance with regulatory standards.To be successful as a manufacturing engineer you should be able to work effectively within a team and have a high level of technical expertise. An outstanding manufacturing engineer should be able to develop and optimize manufacturing processes for maximum efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and quality.Manufacturing Engineer Duties & ResponsibilitiesEvaluating existing manufacturing processes and identifying areas for improvementDetermining problem resolutions and implementing improvementsDeveloping detailed layouts for equipment, processes, and workflowResearching and developing new processes, equipment, and productsDeveloping and implementing cost-saving measures and quality control systemsEnsuring manufacturing processes, equipment, and products comply with safety standards and legal regulationsMaintaining research and activity documentation and preparing reportsAnalyze Production Data to provide recommendations to maintenance & production teams on focus areas.Complete heat map exercises and Pareto production issues from Demeter to align with site priorities.Conducting research to develop new and improved processes for manufacturingEstablishing safety procedures for individuals working with dangerous chemicalsConducting tests and monitoring the equipment process performance throughout productionTroubleshooting problems associated with manufacturing processesEvaluating processes and equipment to ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulationsEstimating production costsManufacturing Engineer Skills & QualificationsAnalytical skills for troubleshooting designs not working as planned, asking the right questions and finding answers that workIngenuity for using the broad concepts of industrial engineering and applying them to address specific production problemsInterpersonal skills in developing positive working relationships with other employees working with the production processMath skills for using the principals of advanced math topics including troubleshooting work, calculus for analysis and designManufacturing Engineer Education & ExperienceDegree in manufacturing, industrial, or mechanical engineering required4-5 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial engineeringExperience evaluating and troubleshooting manufacturing operations, processes, and machineryExperience using CAD, CAM, data analysis programs, and related softwareExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenStrong organization and management skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office (including Visio and Project)High level of technical expertiseStrong analytical thinker, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification strongly preferredWhen you join Pernod Ricard, you'll experience a workplace that is rich in heritage, driven by our iconic brands and a long-standing commitment to sustainability, safety, and giving back to the people and communities where we work.
