Job Overview and Qualifications

The Registered Nurse is responsible for coordinating and delivering exceptional, patient-focused care that aligns with departmental needs and adheres to the standards of practice relevant to their state and specialty. Working alongside medical professionals and other care team members, the RN provides tailored, comprehensive, and compassionate care utilizing established nursing frameworks such as “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.” The RN also acts as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, embodying the organization’s vision, mission, and values to enhance patient experiences and clinical outcomes, thereby contributing to the overall success of the department.

• Regularly evaluates patient pain to ensure effective pain management, including follow-up assessments after interventions.
• Executes procedures, monitoring, or other tasks as directed by medical providers, documenting care in the patient’s medical record promptly and thoroughly.
• Delivers outstanding care by responding swiftly to patient requests and proactively anticipating and addressing their needs.
• Educates patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, potential side effects, and follow-up actions, simplifying complex medical terms for better understanding.
• Instructs patients, families, and caregivers on non-medical follow-up actions, such as healthy eating, exercise, disease prevention, and lifestyle modifications, preparing them for future self-management.

Required Qualifications:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting employment.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting employment.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Associate Degree, Bachelor’s Degree, or Registered Nurse Diploma.
• Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses, Advanced Trauma Life Support, or Trauma Nursing Core Course certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting employment.
• Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course or PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting employment.

• No travel is required.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience is required.
