Job Summary and Qualifications

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care and overseeing all functions within the unit or department during their assigned shift. Working closely with other management team members, the CNC directs, monitors, and assesses nursing care in line with established policies and procedures, serves as a resource for staff, and exemplifies a commitment to the organization’s vision, mission, and values to enhance patient experiences and clinical outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitates admission and discharge processes to promote efficient patient flow and high-quality care.
• Engages in ongoing evaluations of the quality of patient care services in collaboration with the management team.
• Works with subject matter experts and other managers to foster a collaborative environment that enhances outcomes and service quality.
• Champions a patient-first approach and participates in service recovery when necessary.
• Contributes to improving staff engagement by implementing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding and hourly checks.
• Provides input on interviewing, hiring, and training new staff, and recommends actions related to training, conflict resolution, compliance with personnel policies, performance evaluations, and disciplinary measures to ensure a competitive organization.
• Assists in staff scheduling and manages labor resources in accordance with patient care needs and productivity standards.
• Ensures proper inventory management and assists with the oversight of supplies and equipment.

Qualifications Required:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
• Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Associate Degree, Bachelor's Degree, or RN Diploma
