Security Officer

Waterbury Health is seeking a dedicated and professional Security Officer to join our team. The Security Officer will be responsible for responding to incidents, complaints, and alarms, completing necessary written reports, greeting and assisting employees, visitors, and patients, patrolling buildings and grounds, directing traffic, enforcing parking regulations, and intervening in situations where individuals may pose a danger to themselves or others. Responsibilities Incident Response: Respond promptly to incidents, complaints, and alarms. Complete detailed written reports as necessary. Assistance and Patrol: Greet and assist employees, visitors, and patients. Patrol buildings and grounds according to supervisor instructions. Traffic and Parking Management: Direct traffic within hospital premises. Enforce parking regulations. Safety Intervention: Intervene in situations involving individuals who may be a danger to themselves or others. Requirements Education: High School Diploma or GED. Certification and Licensure: CT State Certified Security Guard. Current CT Driver License. Preferred Skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to remain calm and handle stressful situations effectively. Attention to detail and ability to write clear and concise reports.
