As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Unit in Culpeper, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a dynamic tech and communications location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment through strong customer service and communication. In this role, you will work with agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity while responding to site needs with professionalism.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts, supervisors, and/or first responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, data areas, parking locations, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorizations, and support controlled entry procedures for restricted areas containing equipment, network infrastructure, and other sensitive assets.
• Support investigations related to policy violations, suspicious activity, and/or workplace concerns while maintaining a professional presence and following post orders, use-of-force guidelines, and reporting requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a CPO certification.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card and/or License.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
