Payroll Support Specialist

Certified Payroll SpecialistLHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a reputable construction industry organization in the Cincinnati, Ohio area to identify an experienced Certified Payroll Specialist for a contract opportunity. This position will play a key role in ensuring accurate and compliant payroll processing in a fast-paced, multi-state construction environment. The assignment is expected to begin as a contract role with the potential for extension based on business needs and performance.ResponsibilitiesProcess and prepare certified payroll reports for construction projects while ensuring compliance with applicable wage and reporting requirementsSupport payroll administration for a large employee population of 1,000+ employees across multiple statesReview and validate employee hours, job classifications, wage rates, deductions, and payroll adjustments for accuracyMaintain payroll records and assist with audits, reporting requests, and compliance documentationCollaborate with internal teams including payroll, accounting, HR, and project management to resolve payroll-related issues and ensure timely processingQualificationsMinimum of 2 years of certified payroll experience requiredPrevious construction payroll experience requiredExperience processing payroll for 1,000+ employeesMulti-state payroll experience requiredStrong understanding of payroll compliance, wage reporting, and payroll regulationsExperience with union payroll is highly preferred but not requiredStrong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environmentPay Details: $25.00 to $32.00 per hour
