Summary Project managers are first point of contact for any issues or discrepancies arising from within the heads of various departments. This position will be responsible for structural projects across Arkansas. The Structural Project Manager designs construction projects, such as, site design for new buildings, recreational facilities, trails, drainage and other site related projects. As the project manager of the team, you will manage planning, designing, and assists with lead management of a wide variety of projects. Mentoring entry and mid-level engineers within the department. This position is also responsible for developing the project budget. This position will serve as a key part of our team and will have the opportunity to work on challenging turnkey projects with an experienced design team. Responsibilities Planning, development, implementation, and evaluation with the management of a wide variety of projects Problem Resolution Develop construction documents for site development projects using AutoCAD Civil 3D. Construction documents sets include site plan, grading and drainage, utility, erosion control, plan sheets and applicable details Complete detailed stormwater analysis/designs that meet regulatory requirements/review authorities, maximize functionality of land and minimize overall construction costs Manage the project team to develop and complete projects on time and on budget Complete plan review comments from internal quality control process and from the agency review process Prepare written communications, applications, and reports Review and implement municipal zoning ordinances, geotechnical reports, as well as state and federal codes to ensure project compliance Work in partnership with engineering staff to identify opportunities and constraints for development sites, assist in municipal meetings and submittals, and complete plan revisions as needed to obtain project approval Preparing for, attending meetings with internal and external clients Complete drainage analysis and design for land development related projects. Must be willing to work in a team environment Maintain a good rapport with regulatory agencies and review authorities. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in structural engineering or related engineering field Must be Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Arkansas Knowledge of regulations, policies, and procedure Thorough understanding of site planning and land development Shall have knowledge of commonly‑used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field of engineering. Exercising independent judgment Initiative Creativity Problem solving Time Management and Planning Strong communication, writing, technical and analytical skills Microsoft Office Critical Thinking Skills Candidates must be able to pass a drug screen, background check, and have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the company’s driving (MVR) policy. Preferred At least 5 years’ transferrable experience Travel Most travel is limited to short or day trips to visit jobsites, meet clients, etc. Overnight trips are not generally required.
