Packaging Production Associate

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated Packaging Production Associate for a temporary contract opportunity in De Soto, KS. This role is ideal for someone with production, packaging, manufacturing, or operations experience who enjoys hands-on work in a clean, safety-focused, and quality-driven environment.

As a Packaging Production Associate, you will help operate production and packaging equipment, maintain documentation, support sanitation standards, and contribute to efficient daily production. This position offers a steady Monday through Friday schedule, competitive hourly pay, and a retention-based bonus opportunity for dependable team members who stay engaged and perform well.

You will work in a structured manufacturing environment with supportive supervision, clear procedures, and a strong focus on teamwork, safety, and quality. This is a great opportunity to build experience in a regulated production setting while contributing to an important manufacturing operation.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate production and packaging equipment, including startup, minor adjustments, and routine quality monitoring.
- Complete accurate and timely documentation for production activities and process requirements.
- Clean and sanitize work areas according to established standard operating procedures.
- Monitor product quality and report equipment, safety, or process concerns to leadership.
- Support production goals by performing additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
- Follow safety, quality, and compliance procedures in a regulated manufacturing environment.

Compensation and Benefits

- Job type: Contract/Temporary.
- Location: De Soto, KS.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM.
- Pay rate: $18 per hour.
- Recruiting/retention bonus: Up to $1,000 total.
- Bonus details: $500 after 2 weeks of employment and $500 after 90 days of continuous employment.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Operate and monitor production and packaging equipment.
- Perform cleaning and sanitation tasks according to SOPs.
- Complete production documentation accurately.
- Support quality, safety, and production standards throughout the shift.

- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1 to 2 years of relevant production, packaging, manufacturing, or operations experience preferred.
- Strong analytical, mechanical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs intermittently.
- Ability to follow procedures, maintain documentation, and work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

- Knowledge of aseptic techniques.
- Familiarity with USDA regulations.
- Experience working with SOPs and SPPs in a regulated production or manufacturing environment.
