About the Position  

We are seeking a Senior Account Manager to manage and grow a defined territory focused on the K-12 market within the United States. 

This is a full-time, fully remote position responsible for new business development and ongoing management of existing customers. You’ll work directly with K-12 schools and districts to understand their needs, introduce Respondus solutions to prospective customers, identify opportunities to expand within a district or to surrounding school communities, and manage customer relationships through renewal. The product emphasis for this role will be LockDown Browser. 

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys developing new business, building long-term customer relationships, managing a sales territory with a high degree of autonomy, and working collaboratively with teams committed to customer success. 

What You’ll Bring  

Core Experience  

• 5+ years of success in sales, ideally in EdTech or a related field 
• Experience selling into K-12 schools and districts 
• Experience managing and growing a defined sales territory 
• Experience delivering software demos and consultative sales presentations 
• Experience owning customer relationships through renewal 

Skills & Approach  

• Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills 
• Proven ability to develop new business through prospecting, referrals, and relationship development 
• Comfortable managing multiple prospects and existing customer relationships simultaneously 
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated 
• Comfortable working independently in a remote environment 
• Familiarity with CRM tools such as Salesforce 

Domain Knowledge  

• Understanding of the K-12 education technology landscape 
• Understanding of K-12 purchasing processes, budget cycles, and decision-making structures 
• Familiarity with learning platforms such as Canvas, Schoology, Blackboard, Brightspace, Moodle, or similar 
• Familiarity with online assessment technologies 

What You’ll Do  

• Develop new business across your assigned K-12 territory through prospecting, lead follow-up, referrals, and relationship development, with an emphasis on LockDown Browser 
• Own the full sales cycle, from prospecting and discovery through demos, proposals, negotiation, and closing 
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing school and district customers, with responsibility for ongoing account management and renewals 
• Develop referral opportunities within K-12 communities and networks where existing customer relationships can lead to new business 
• Understand customer needs and position Respondus solutions appropriately within school and district environments 
• Represent Respondus at webinars, conferences, and K-12 industry events 
• Maintain accurate accounts, opportunities, and pipeline data in Salesforce 
• Stay informed on industry trends and the evolving K-12 education landscape 
• Meet and exceed sales and renewal goals while collaborating closely with Marketing, Customer Success, and leadership 
• Travel approximately 20% for conferences and customer engagement 

Additional Information  

This is a full-time, fully remote position available to candidates residing in Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Massachusetts, Montana, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, Virginia, Washington, or Wisconsin. 

Candidates should have a dedicated home office or workspace free from distractions and the flexibility to participate in meetings across multiple U.S. time zones. 

Compensation & Benefits  

The base salary for this position starts at $85,000, with final compensation determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. This role also includes additional earning potential through a commission-based compensation structure.
