Staff Accountant IILocation: Tulsa, OK Type: Direct Hire Compensation: $75,000-$80,000.00 Work Model: Onsite – onsite Hours: 40.0OverviewThe Staff Accountant II will support a variety of accounting and finance functions, including financial reporting, general ledger maintenance, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable. This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who is comfortable working across multiple areas of accounting, reviewing the work of others, and providing support where needed.The successful candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. While this position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities, it will involve reviewing accounting work, assisting with process improvements, and serving as a resource to the broader accounting team.ResponsibilitiesAssist with month-end close processes, including preparing journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.Review calculations and accounting work prepared by team members.Prepare and review financial statements and related reports.Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.Review Accounts Payable transactions and provide backup support as needed.Perform Accounts Receivable functions, including payment posting, account reconciliations, collections, and invoice review.Prepare and review bank reconciliations.Perform account reconciliations for balance sheet accounts.Maintain fixed asset records, including depreciation and asset disposals.Analyze inventory activity and assist with inventory reporting.Review and support sales tax compliance activities.Prepare and review property tax and other business tax filings.Assist with special projects and other accounting responsibilities as assigned.Required QualificationsStrong understanding of accounting principles, practices, and financial reporting.Experience with bookkeeping, general ledger accounting, or related accounting functions.Ability to analyze financial information and provide meaningful insights.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems.Strong communication and collaboration skills.Experience performing detailed account reconciliations.Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.Preferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.3+ years of accounting experience.Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize multiple responsibilities.Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Positive attitude and commitment to continuous improvement.System One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé and Mountain Ltd., are leaders in delivering outsourced services and workforce solutions across North America.
