Anesthesiology Physician

Physician - Anesthesiology - Cardiac

Job Details:

• Provide cardiovascular anesthesiology coverage for open heart, thoracic, vascular, and structural heart cases
• TEE (Transesophageal Echocardiography) certification is required
• Cardiac anesthesiology fellowship preferred
• Assist with general OR cases in addition to cardiovascular cases as needed
• Unrestricted overnight call and weekend call required; Monday through Friday 8-10 hour days
• Adult and geriatric patients only; no pediatric care required
• Cases are hands-on with occasional CRNA supervision
• Facility handles approximately 360-450 cardiac cases per year with 2 cardiac surgeons on staff
• EMR system used is EPIC
• Board certification in cardiac anesthesiology and transesophageal echocardiography required
• Must have completed an ACGME or International equivalent CV anesthesia fellowship and achieved at least testamur status in Advanced Perioperative Echocardiography (NBE), or have a minimum of five years of documented CV anesthesia experience with letters of recommendation from both anesthesiologists and CV surgeons
• Clean malpractice and background required
• Nebraska license highly preferred or IMLC accepted

This facility is a 187-bed Level 1 Trauma and Academic Medical Center featuring 15 main operating rooms, 3 endoscopy suites, 2 EP labs, TEE and invasive/non-invasive cardiology capabilities, Neuro IR, bronchoscopy, MRI lines, and obstetric services. The facility is a comprehensive academic medical center offering a wide range of specialized surgical and procedural services, supporting a high volume of complex cardiovascular and multi-specialty cases.
