Registered Nurse PACU

PACU RNPosition Summary: The Phase I Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse is responsible for providing comprehensive, evidence-based nursing care to pediatric and adult patients during the immediate post-anesthesia period. The RN utilizes advanced assessment, critical thinking, and clinical decision-making skills to promote physiologic stability, identify and manage post-operative complications, and ensure a safe transition to the next level of care. The Phase I PACU provides care for patients undergoing a wide range of ophthalmology, otolaryngology (ENT), and head and neck surgical procedures. Surgical complexity ranges from routine outpatient procedures to highly specialized surgeries, including pediatric otolaryngology, complex airway procedures, microvascular reconstruction, and head and neck oncologic surgery.
