JOB STATEMENT:

We are seeking a high-performing Service Coordinator for all aspects of the Parts and Service Departments. This role includes technical parts and quoting support for internal staff, Technicians, and national account customers. The Service Coordinator is responsible for preparing accurate, timely, and detailed quotes for generator maintenance, repairs, and installations. This role requires strong technical comprehension, excellent communication skills, and the ability to translate technician findings into clear, customer ready estimates.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Review technician diagnostics, inspection reports, and service notes to determine required repairs.
2. Prepare detailed quotes for generator maintenance, repair, and replacement services.
3. Verify parts, labor hours, and vendor pricing to ensure accurate cost estimates.
4. Follow up on open quotes, answer customer questions, and support the approval process.
5. Track quote status, update records, and maintain organized documentation.

1. Assist with parts sourcing by confirming availability, lead times, and alternative options.
2. Ensure quotes comply with company pricing structures, warranty guidelines, and safety standards.
3. Identify opportunities for preventative maintenance or additional services based on generator condition.
4. Read Parts Manuals and General Schematics to determine correct parts for the job.
5. Search for proper cross references of OEM parts.

1. Perform any and all tasks as assigned by Parts and/or Service Managers.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

General office environment. Job requires sitting for extended periods of time and calling/emailing parts vendors for parts quotes, and creating relationships. Possibility to work from home.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

1. Strong understanding of mechanical or electrical systems; generator experience preferred.
2. Ability to read and interpret technician notes, inspection forms, and service reports.
3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
4. High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
5. Experience with service management or quoting software.
6. Prior experience in generator service, industrial equipment repair, or a related field is a plus.
7. Must be a self-starter and self-motivated. Should not be afraid to reach out to co-workers for assistance. Progress will be monitored.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

1. High school diploma
2. Ability to express ideas clearly in both written and oral communications.
3. Ability to work under pressure
4. Knowledge of computer programs (NetSuite, Excel, Microsoft Products)
5. Minimum of 3 year parts experience or equivalent.
6. Ability to read and interpret parts manuals and schematics to support accurate quoting and repair planning.
7. Experience in managing vendor relations to ensure timely parts procurement and cost-effective sourcing.
