CHEF (FULL TIME)

Overview We are hiring immediately for a full-time CHEF position. Location: 100 Belmont Mount Holly Road, Belmont, NC 28012. Online applications accepted only. Schedule and Compensation Schedule: Full-time; days may vary, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. Holidays required. Pay Range: $23.00 per hour to $26.00 per hour. Requirements Prior food safety experience and culinary experience. Ability to follow recipes and prepare lunch and dinner for 23 Monks. Responsibilities Direct, coordinate, and supervise kitchen activities for cooks and other associates engaged in preparing, cooking, and serving food; ensure sanitation and customer service standards are met. Supervise hourly kitchen staff, including interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training, counseling, and participating in reviews. Efficiently prepare high-quality food items according to standardized recipes to meet production, delivery, and service schedules; serve meals or prepare for delivery. Ensure proper presentation, food quality, portion control, and maintenance of serving temperatures. Track food use, waste, and consumption to requisition or purchase products. Receive and inspect products and supplies for quality and quantity to ensure appropriate inventory. Maintain sanitation of equipment, supplies, and utensils; keep workstation clean and debris-free during meal service; ensure compliance with sanitation, safety, production, and merchandising requirements. Assist in recipe and menu development. Perform other duties as assigned.
