Sr. Data Engineer

About the Role As a Senior Data Engineer, you will contribute to a variety of areas including the development of our overall data platform, supporting internal and external customers with data‑related technical work (planning, documentation, coding), and interacting directly with customers. Responsibilities Develop and maintain the overall data platform. Provide technical support to internal and external customers, including planning, documentation, and coding. Interact directly with customers to understand requirements and deliver solutions. About You Bachelor of Science degree in a technical field (relevant experience considered). 7+ years of data engineering experience. Proficiency in SQL and the Snowflake Data Cloud Platform, including complex queries and performance optimization. Experience with data loading, transformation, extraction, sharing and replication security features, including access control, data masking, and encryption. Data modeling across disparate data sources with a variety of formats and structures. Warehouse‑level ontology development. Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Java, etc.) for data processing and ETL scripting. Strong technical acumen, smart, articulate, and able to work independently with high‑level instructions. Strong personal work ethic and desire to collaborate with a distributed team. Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. National Security Clearance. Capability to support and teach others in areas of mastery. Preferred: experience with formal SDLC procedures, version control (GitHub), and related methodologies.
