Pay Range: 2619.40 - 2750.37

Schedule: 06:45 - 15:15 (Late shifts scheduled to complete cases)

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Candidate Type: Traveler

Requirements: Can only submit to 1 position at a time across the entire WVU system. Driver’s license address must be outside 50 miles from the facility. Previous perm candidates must be gone for 2 years. Previous travelers there for 1 full year must be gone for 2 years. Individual unit requirements listed in pulse apply. Travel teams must be submitted together in 1 email. We are only permitted to submit 2 candidates per opening; if the position is at max, we will hold on to the submission if a spot opens up. Must have 2 years minimum experience as ORT. Must have experience in ophthalmology and be able to perform cataract and cornea surgeries independently. Must be able to scrub and circulate ambulatory surgery procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in ophthalmology surgeries such as cataracts and corneal procedures independently.
• Scrub and circulate for various ambulatory procedures in the operating room.
• Adhere to hospital and unit-specific protocols during surgeries.
• Participate in call rotations, including weekday, weekend, and holiday shifts, responding within 30 minutes.
• Float to other surgical departments as needed.
• Follow scrubs dress code and attend hospital orientation, then orient with staff in OR Suites.
