Day shift position, Monday to Friday. Scheduled 8-hour shifts from 6:45 AM until 3:15 PM, with potential late extensions as needed to complete cases.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ophthalmology and possess the ability to scrub and circulate various ambulatory surgery procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and management of the operating room.
• Scrub and circulate a variety of surgical cases, focusing on ophthalmological procedures including cataract and corneal surgeries.
• Provide high-quality patient care during surgical procedures.
• Participate in call rotation, responding within a 30-minute timeframe for weekday and weekend shifts.
• Potentially float to other surgical departments as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Operating Room Nurse.
• Experience in ophthalmology, specifically able to perform cataract and corneal procedures independently.
• Current BLS certification (AHA).
