Senior Engineering Project ManagerAs a Senior Engineering Project Manager, you bring a mix of mechanical engineering / mechatronics expertise with experience managing a small team's tasks, schedules and budget. You will lead by example through the mentorship of less senior engineers across mechanical, electrical, and systems disciplines, in addition to performing design or analysis in support of Dcubed USA technical programs.What You Will Do:Provide project management of a multi-functional technical team supporting Dcubed engineering functionsPerform design or analysis of structures, mechanisms, or mechatronic systems dependent on your specific strengths or expertise.Knowledge of electrical systems and avionics a plusAssist with the management of external contractors for engineering servicesMentor less-senior engineers on engineering and project management topicsSupport hardware procurement including the identification, vetting, and management of new vendors supporting Dcubed engineering projects.Must-Haves:Education: Bachelor's of Science in Aerospace, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Electrical Engineering with at least 7 years experienceExperience working on spaceflight hardware, with an emphasis on hands-on experiencePast project and/or team management experienceA passion for working with small, fast paced teamsA technical strength in one or more of the following areas: Mechanical Design & Drafting (CAD – Solidworks preferred), Finite Element Analysis (ANYSYS, NASTRAN, FEMAP, etc), Thermal Analysis (Thermal Desktop preferred), Mechanisms Design & Analysis, Mechatronics SystemsDcubed is a fast-growing NewSpace company headquartered in Germering/Munich which accelerates space exploration through durable and affordable space hardware.
