Internist for GME Continuity Clinic in Southeast Alabama

Job Overview:  Full-time Internist needed for a GME Continuity Clinic in Southeast Alabama.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive Internal Medicine services to patients in the Graduate Medical Education Continuity Clinic.
• Supervise and mentor residents and medical students in clinical settings, fostering their professional development.
• Conduct patient assessments, diagnose medical conditions, and develop personalized treatment plans.
• Collaborate with a diverse healthcare team to ensure coordinated and patient-centered care.
• Participate in educational activities, including lectures, case discussions, and scholarly pursuits.
• Stay current on evidence-based practices and contribute to the advancement of medical knowledge.
• Average 13-16 New residents per year.

Qualifications:

• Medical degree from an accredited medical school.
• Board certification in Internal Medicine
• Eligibility for medical licensure in the state of Alabama.
• Previous experience in Graduate Medical Education preferred.
• Strong commitment to teaching and mentoring medical professionals.
• Effective communication skills and a collaborative approach to healthcare.
