Sterile Processing Technician OpportunitySaint Luke's South Hospital in Overland Park, Kansas is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician. You will have the opportunity to expand your skill set, work in a challenging fast-paced environment, and be supported through continuous learning and professional development.Shift Details:Monday-FridayEvening ShiftWeekend Rotation and Holiday Call Required.The Work:Responsible for the processing, sterilization, and documentation related to sterility of instruments used in the surgery department and on-site/off-site clinics in accordance with AORN and AAMI standards.Decontaminates and assembles instrument sets and surgery trays using count sheets. Verifies proper function and integrity of instruments. Labels instruments correctly and returns them to their proper location.Communicates effectively and positively with team members and surgery staff.Moves with a sense of urgency when needed.Efficient in the quality execution of instrumentation that is directly related to patient safety and department efficiencies.Familiar with AAMI Joint Commission and APIC standards related to infection control.To be successful in this position, you will need to have confidence in your abilities and strong communication skills.
