Custodian PositionThe Custodian serves as a member of the Royal Oak campus team and is under the direction and leadership of the Facilities Technician. Their role is to complete the weekly work schedule with an attitude of professional excellence, as it pertains to event set up, tear down, and cleaning of the church facility.Skill Set:Demonstrates a positive attitude and willingness to work well with peopleShows attention to detailSelf-motivated and able to work aloneDependable and arrives on timeAble to safely lift items such as tables and chairsMechanical ability is a plusExperience Qualifications:High school diploma or GED (required)Prior custodial or cleaning experience preferredAvailability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as neededDuties and Responsibilities:Cleans classrooms, bathrooms, lobby, Worship Center, and hallwaysUses WBC's digital ticketing system (FMX) to access room set-up instructionsPreps rooms for events by moving tables and chairs into various layouts; resets rooms as neededGeneral: Vacuums carpets, empties trash, dusts surfaces, wipes down counters and tablesBathroom: Cleans sinks/toilets/counters, wipes partitions, mops, replenishes paper/soap productsPhysical Requirements:Able to lift up to 70 lbs regularly (e.g., tables, chairs, equipment); team lifting encouragedAble to climb ladders safely and perform overhead liftingAble to stand and walk for extended periods of timeAble to bend, climb stairs, and crouch as needed for cleaning tasksApplicants must be at least 18 years old and members of Woodside Bible Church.
