Director, HRIS & Shared Services

Location: 2500 Windy Ridge Parkway, Atlanta, GA 30339 Work Shift: Salary Exempt (United States of America) Role Overview The Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) Director is responsible for leading Altium’s HR technology strategy and building the HRIS & HR Technology strategic roadmap. The Director will own the organization’s HRIS system, manage its configuration, business processes, and security, and lead the HR Shared Services team to support Tier 1 HRIS and technology needs. This role focuses on improving employee processes, experience, and data analytics, while collaborating with Information Services (IS) and Human Resources (HR) to enhance functionality and training. Responsibilities Work with the Chief Administrative Officer to develop a strategy that optimizes the Workday platform to meet business objectives. Review and analyze current procedures, identify improvement areas, and implement a standardization system across the enterprise. Identify opportunities for automation and reduce manual processes. Collaborate with stakeholders across HR, Finance, IT, and Operations to develop processes that create a best‑in‑class HR operations platform and excellent employee experience. Lead projects and teams, obtain partner buy‑in, develop requirements, build/test, prepare for change management, go live, and conduct post‑mortem feedback improvements. Ensure data integrity, test system changes, write reports, and analyze data flows to identify further process improvements. Strengthen the HR operations platform to improve overall employee experience. Lead the HR Shared Services Team to deliver timely solutions to internal HR stakeholders. Build a high‑performing team and culture of accountability for timely, quality services. Reasonable mandatory overtime may be required due to business needs. Required Education and Experience 10+ years of progressive HR experience in HRIS. Experience designing and administering an HRIS, preferably Workday. Ability to translate business objectives into a clear vision and roadmap with rigorous requirements and support delivery of that vision. Strong bias for action with a track record of owning and successfully delivering solutions. Strong leadership and excellent team‑management skills. Talent‑development skills and ability to recruit/retain an effective team. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, including experience working directly with users and collaborating across teams on complex projects. Critical thinker with strong problem‑solving skills and a tendency to challenge the status quo. Relentless focus on delivering product enhancements that drive real, measurable impact on employee experience. Self‑starter able to drive work forward within an agile environment. High tolerance for ambiguity, challenge, and change. Ability to remain composed in difficult circumstances. Preferred Qualifications Workday experience (HCM, Payroll, Time Tracking, and other Workday modules).
