Field Service Technician

Job Description Insight Global is seeking a Field Support Technician for a top financial services client. This candidate will serve as the hands-on technical support resource for branch locations and off-site facilities, ensuring technology systems remain operational and efficient. The ideal candidate will have strong macOS and Jamf experience, a customer-focused approach, and the ability to troubleshoot a wide variety of hardware, software, networking, and peripheral issues. This role involves supporting end users, maintaining IT assets, performing technology deployments and upgrades, collaborating with vendors and internal teams, and helping drive a seamless technology experience across the organization. Candidates who thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy solving technical challenges, and are comfortable traveling between locations will be highly successful in this position. Day-to-Day: Provide onsite technical support to branch and remote locations Troubleshoot hardware, software, printer, scanner, and peripheral issues Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and related technologies Support macOS devices and manage endpoints through Jamf Perform equipment installations, relocations, adds, and changes Support telephone systems, network devices, and multiple service platforms Conduct preventative maintenance, updates, security patching, and hardware replacements Escalate and collaborate with internal IT teams and external vendors on complex issues Maintain accurate documentation of incidents, service requests, and configurations Assist with technology rollouts, upgrades, and migration projects Educate end users on technology best practices and system usage Ensure compliance with IT security, privacy, and operational policies Support business continuity through responsive onsite and remote support This role is a 6-12 month contract to hire. Please note that the expected conversion salary is between $69,000-$86,000/yr. Salary is based on a variety of factors and is subject to change. Skills and Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent 2+ years of experience in Field Technician Role supporting both WindowsOS and MacOS Hands-on experience with SCCM, including software deployments, patching, imaging, and device management. Experience with technology deployments, migrations, and upgrades Previous experience with AV/conference room equipment including Microsoft Teams Rooms Strong understanding of identity and device management including experience with Microsoft EntraID, Intune and Security Groups Jamf administration/support experience Basic networking, server, and application support knowledge Experience troubleshooting hardware and software issues Excellent problem-solving and technical troubleshooting skills Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical users Customer service-focused mindset Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Experience working with external vendors and partners Ability to support executive/upper-level leadership Ability to travel to branch locations Ability to lift and move equipment weighing 50+ lbs Comfortability with a 27/7 on call rotation Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field CompTIA A+ Certification CompTIA Network+ Certification Google IT Fundamentals Certification Experience supporting banking, credit union, or financial services environments Strong knowledge of financial systems and banking software We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
