About the Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager / Estimator to join a well-established commercial electrical contractor in Chicago. This role is ideal for a driven professional who thrives in a client-facing environment and has a proven track record of estimating, selling, and successfully managing commercial electrical projects. The ideal candidate has managed commercial electrical projects exceeding $1M and understands how to drive work from bid through closeout.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for commercial electrical projects
- Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents to determine project scope
- Develop proposals and actively participate in selling and securing projects
- Manage projects from pre-construction through completion
- Oversee budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and field teams
- Build and maintain strong client and vendor relationships
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards
- 6+ years of experience in commercial electrical construction
- Demonstrated experience estimating, selling, and managing projects
- Experience handling commercial electrical projects $1M+
- Strong understanding of commercial electrical systems, codes, and best practices
- Proven ability to manage budgets and job costs
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Base salary: $100,000 - $140,000 , depending on experience
