Litigation Paralegal Location: Wilmington, NC Employment Type: Full-Time Industry: Legal Services About the Opportunity Express Employment Professionals is partnering with a respected legal team in Wilmington, NC to identify a detail-oriented and motivated Litigation Paralegal . This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced paralegal who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and wants to play an important role in supporting attorneys throughout the litigation process. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality. Key Responsibilities Assist attorneys with preparation for trials, hearings, depositions, and other litigation proceedings . Conduct legal research and locate relevant case law, statutes, and other legal authorities. Draft, prepare, and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and related filings. Organize and maintain case files, records, correspondence, and other litigation documentation. Coordinate with clients, witnesses, experts, and other parties to obtain information and supporting materials. Prepare trial exhibits, documents, and other materials needed for litigation. Track case deadlines, court dates, filings, and other important dates to help ensure matters remain on schedule. Assist attorneys with case management and day-to-day litigation support. Stay current on applicable legal procedures, filing requirements, and regulations. Perform other paralegal and litigation-support duties as needed. Qualifications Associate's degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field required; Bachelor's degree preferred. At least 2 years of litigation paralegal experience. Strong understanding of litigation procedures, terminology, and legal documentation. Proficiency with legal research tools and case management software. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational abilities. Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team. Strong time-management skills and the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines and assignments. Professionalism and discretion when handling confidential client and case information.
