Position Type: Permanent Work Location: 1633 Broadway, 31st Floor, New York, NY 10019 Work Mode: Hybrid Shift Hours: 9:00am to 5:00pm Job Description Job Summary We have an exciting opportunity for a Bankruptcy & Financial Restructuring Associate to join the Litigation team in our New York office. Our cohesive and collaborative team has a diverse and multidisciplinary practice that provides the opportunity to work closely with shareholders, participate in business development initiatives, and engage in meaningful client-facing activities. Required Skills You have 2–4 years of bankruptcy and financial restructuring experience at a law firm. You have experience representing secured creditors, landlords, purchasers of assets, equipment lessors, and fiduciaries in workouts, out-of-court restructurings, and all phases of Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases . You have substantive knowledge of creditors' rights, bankruptcy law, the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC Articles 2, 2A, and 9), equipment leasing, commercial finance law, and general commercial litigation . You have deposition and case management experience, including the ability to appear in federal, state, and bankruptcy courts , negotiate settlements, and correspond with opposing counsel. You possess excellent oral and written communication skills and can work effectively both independently and collaboratively. You have a J.D. degree (or its equivalent) with strong academic credentials and are admitted in (and in good standing with), or taking steps to become admitted in, New York .
