The Accounting team supports Operations by providing accurate and timely financial reporting during all phases of construction. This position reports to the Controller.

 

Responsibilities

 

• Job cost accounting
• Weekly subsistence processing
• Maintain and update accounting records and files
• Monthly expense tracking
• Post transactions and categorize entries in the general ledger
• Prepare documents for audits
• Compile and prepare routine reports and summaries
• Periodic prequalification reporting
• Cross train and backup Accounts Payable
• Cross train and backup Accounts Receivable
• Cross train and backup Payroll
• Assist in the preparation of annual tax documents
• Research and special accounting projects as needed
• General office support to include filing and other administrative tasks

 

Requirements and Skills

 

• High school diploma
• 3+ years of accounting experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
• General knowledge and understanding of accounting procedures
• Effective written and verbal communication
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications, including Excel, Outlook and Teams
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations quickly and accurately; 10 key preferred
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Able to manage varying tasks and responsibilities and meet deadlines while working independently
• Confidentiality and integrity

Environmental and physical requirements

 

Physical Conditions

• Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer.
• Occasional standing, walking, or lifting up to 20 lbs. (e.g., office supplies).
• Manual dexterity for keyboard and office equipment use.

 

Environmental Conditions

• Work performed in a standard office environment with moderate noise levels.
• Exposure to artificial lighting and climate-controlled settings.
• Occasional interruptions and interaction with multiple team members.
• Minimal exposure to outdoor elements (if applicable for site visits).
