Trial Attorney - Criminal Defense & Family Law

Our client is seeking a Trial Attorney with experience in criminal defense and family law to join their team in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of trial experience, strong courtroom advocacy skills, and the ability to manage cases independently.

Responsibilities

• Handle criminal defense and family law cases from initial consultation through resolution.
• Develop case strategies and prepare cases for hearings and trial.
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Represent clients in court hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings.
• Negotiate settlements and agreements when appropriate.
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
• Manage case files, deadlines, and court requirements.
• Maintain strong client relationships and provide updates on case progress.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active Virginia Bar license.
• Minimum of three years of trial experience.
• Experience handling criminal defense and family law matters.
• Strong courtroom advocacy, negotiation, research, and writing skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and work independently.
• Excellent communication and client management skills.
