We are seeking an Associate Attorney to represent insurance companies and their policyholders in civil claims disputes, protecting both the insured individual or business and the financial interests of the insurer. The role manages insurance defense litigation matters from inception through resolution, including general liability, premises liability, and construction defect claims.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned caseload of civil litigation matters from initial inception through final resolution.
• Draft complaints, answers, motions, briefs, and written discovery responses.
• Handle and defend depositions.
• Analyze factual and legal issues, evaluate liability, assess damages, and determine case exposure or coverage questions.
• Appear at court hearings, oral arguments, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
• Prepare witnesses and exhibits for hearings and trial.
• Provide regular status and evaluation reports to insurance adjusters, claims examiners, corporate clients, and policyholders.
• Negotiate claim resolutions and settlements with opposing counsel when favorable to the insurer and client.

Required Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in insurance defense litigation.
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
