Exercise Physiologist

Exercise Physiologist — Cardiac Wellness/Rehab Team Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center is seeking an Exercise Physiologist to join our mission‑driven Cardiac Wellness/Rehab team. The role focuses on patient assessment, development of individualized exercise prescriptions, monitoring exercise programs, program development, patient education, and metabolic exercise stress testing for high‑risk adults. Employment Details Employment Type: Full time Shift: Day shift Responsibilities Assess patients, develop and monitor individualized exercise prescriptions and treatment regimens for adult cardiac rehab patients. Provide comprehensive education on exercise and overall health promotion for normal and high‑risk populations. Perform and supervise exercise testing in the exercise laboratory under the cardiologist’s direction. Collaborate positively with colleagues, fostering a collaborative work environment and open communication. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from an accredited exercise physiology program. Specialization in cardiac rehabilitation preferred; Master’s degree desirable. Minimum of 2 years experience providing clinical support and program development in a hospital‑based cardiac rehabilitation program. Current AHA Basic Life Support certificate. ACSM and ACLS certifications preferred. Knowledge of basic electrocardiography, assessment of cardiovascular status, and cardiac pharmacology. Strong exercise leadership and patient teaching skills.
