- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM + On-Call
- Setting: Hospital / Behavioral Health
- Pay Range: $80-$100/hr
- Active West Virginia Pharmacist License – Required
About the Opportunity:
This is a great opportunity for an experienced pharmacy leader who enjoys a hands-on environment and can provide both clinical/operational oversight and day-to-day staffing support while the organization searches for a permanent Director of Pharmacy.
Position Responsibilities:
- Serve as the Interim Director of Pharmacy and PIC .
- Provide day-to-day leadership and oversight of pharmacy operations.
- Manage pharmacy staffing and administrative responsibilities.
- Support safe, efficient, and compliant pharmacy operations.
- Coordinate with pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to maintain workflow.
- Provide leadership and direction to the pharmacy team.
- Support medication distribution, order processing, inventory management, and other pharmacy operations.
- Monitor pharmacy workflow and address operational needs as they arise.
- Participate in on-call coverage following weekday shifts and on weekends .
- Collaborate with hospital leadership and other departments as needed.
- Help maintain continuity of pharmacy operations during the transition to a permanent DOP.
The pharmacy department includes:
- 1 full-time pharmacist
- 4 per diem pharmacists
- 2.6 FTE pharmacy technicians
Technicians provide support with:
- Order filling
- Medication delivery
- Inventory management
- General pharmacy operations
Facility Information
- Approximately 165 licensed beds
- Average daily census of approximately 130
- Behavioral Health setting
- Hospital pharmacy environment
Systems & Technology
- HCS – Order entry system
- Omnicell – Pharmacy automation
Previous experience with HCS and Omnicell is helpful, but training will be provided .
Monday–Friday: 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
On-Call: After each weekday shift and weekends
