Riverside Medical Group is currently seeking a full time Hospitalist Physician to join our team at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital in Onancock, Virginia.

Are you a dedicated physician passionate about delivering high-quality inpatient care? Join our dynamic team at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital, where you'll play a vital role in managing and coordinating care for hospitalized patients.

About the Role

As a Hospitalist, you will serve as the primary care provider for inpatients, managing their medical care from admission through discharge. You'll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless, patient-centered care and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive medical care to hospitalized patients
Diagnose and manage a wide range of acute and chronic conditions
Coordinate with specialists, nurses, and support staff for integrated care
Monitor patient progress, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and adjust treatment plans
Communicate clearly with patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
Facilitate safe and effective discharge planning and transitions of care

What We're Looking For

Board-certified or board-eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
Strong clinical and diagnostic skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Experience in hospital settings and familiarity with inpatient protocols
Commitment to patient advocacy and continuous quality improvement

Education & Certifications

Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
Licensed Medical Doctor in the State of Virginia
Board Certified or Board Eligible by an approved board
Current DEA license

Qualifications

Independent decision-making in patient care
Timely and accurate documentation
Experience with managed care and Medicare populations
Professional demeanor and excellent communication skills
Ability to complete charts and communicate with care teams promptly
