Property Staff Accountant

Responsibilities Maintain general ledger activity for assigned properties Prepare and perform bank and account reconciliations on a regular basis Support the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process Assist with preparation of financial statements and property reporting packages Monitor and analyze cash activity, variances, and account balances Partner with AP and AR teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure accurate reporting Assist with journal entries, accruals, and adjustments Support lender and ownership reporting, including required documentation & communication Maintain accurate records and schedules for balance sheet accounts Assist with budgets, audits, and ad hoc reporting requests Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred) 2 to 4+ years of accounting experience, ideally within real estate or property accounting Strong understanding of general accounting principles, including cash and accrual accounting Experience with bank reconciliations and financial reporting Advanced Excel skills, including PivotTables and VLOOKUPs Strong attention to detail and analytical skills Ability to manage multiple properties and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams The pay range is the minimum to maximum compensation we reasonably believe we would pay for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors such as relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract, and business needs. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law.
