This is an ideal opportunity for a recent Accounting graduate or someone with up to two years of experience who wants hands on exposure to bookkeeping, month end close, and financial reporting. This role is structured as a contractor position initially, with the potential to transition to a full-time W2 employee role based on performance and business needs. You will work directly with experienced finance leadership and gain real world accounting experience that accelerates your growth. Responsibilities Daily Bookkeeping and General Ledger Daily bookkeeping and general ledger maintenance Categorize transactions and maintain ledger accuracy Process accounts payable and manage vendor records Create and issue customer invoices and monitor accounts receivable Perform bank and credit card reconciliations Record general cash transactions Month End Close Support Prepare journal entries Assist with prepaids and accruals Maintain fixed asset and depreciation schedules Track deferred revenue and revenue recognition schedules Perform balance sheet reconciliations Prepare supporting schedules for financial reporting Operational and Compliance Support Assist with payroll entries and reconciliations Maintain W9 documentation and support 1099 preparation Track sales tax and assist with filings Support audit and tax documentation requests Help maintain debt and interest schedules Assist with budget to actual analysis Support cash flow tracking Support client level reporting and margin analysis Requirements Must reside in the state of Virginia Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field 0 to 2 years of experience in accounting and full-charge bookkeeping Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals Proficiency in Excel Familiarity with QuickBooks or similar accounting software preferred High attention to detail Compensation Hourly rate based on experience Opportunity for long term growth and potential transition to W2 employment If you are ready to accelerate your accounting career and build meaningful experience, we would love to connect. #J-18808-Ljbffr Focus Fractional LLC
