Description BCCS is Seeking a Global Peer Recovery Specialist for our Hep C Program! Join BCCS in helping eliminate Hepatitis C in Delaware Brandywine Counseling & Community Services (BCCS) is seeking a Peer Recovery Specialist to support our Hep C Elimination Program. This role is ideal for someone passionate about recovery, community outreach, and helping individuals overcome barriers to care. We promote hope and empowerment to persons and families touched by mental illness, substance abuse, HIV and multiple diagnoses, and their related challenges. What You’ll Do as a Peer Recovery Specialist Re‑engage individuals who have fallen out of care and support their return to treatment and recovery services. Maintain an active outreach and engagement caseload. Serve as a liaison between clients and clinical staff. Facilitate non‑clinical life skills and wellness groups. Conduct community presentations and prevention education. Build partnerships with referral sources and community organizations. Provide discharge follow‑up and aftercare support. Travel statewide to support screenings and outreach events. Requirements High school diploma or GED (required). Valid driver’s license with 2 points or less (required). Own vehicle available for use – statewide travel required (required). Must identify as a peer; the candidate must be in recovery from addiction to drugs, alcohol, or mental health (required). Minimum of 2 years in recovery (required). 1–3 years of experience working with people in recovery (required). Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) preferred; if not certified, certification is required within the first year of employment (preferred). Schedule Monday – Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Pay Starting at $18/hour, commensurate based on experience, education, and certification. The Compensation Package for This Position Includes Group medical, dental and vision coverage with low employee costs. 34 paid days off annually. Tuition reimbursement.
