We are ARCO, a Family of Construction Companies.We are looking for a service-oriented Attorney to join our team.A Day In The LifeReview, draft, negotiate, and manage construction and commercial agreementsCollaborate closely with other members of the legal team located across the United States to implement enterprise-wide, accepted approaches to managing contract risksCollaborate closely with project managers and leaders to understand business objectives when negotiating agreementsManage, maintain, and coordinate all documentation related to construction contracts and day-to-day issues arising from construction project operationsPrepare and present training to non-legal business operators on legal and legal-adjacent issues in the construction industryAssess and mitigate ARCO's riskMaintain and grow relationships with vendors and title companiesAssist Operations and Leadership in problem-solving and managing riskManage communications and deliverables in a deadline-driven environmentWork well with, and can efficiently direct work of, shared paralegal support.Necessary QualificationsLicensed Attorney with 5+ years of transactional construction practice with a law firm or in-house with a general contractorCurrent experience managing a substantial volume of contract review, drafting, and negotiation responsibilities, with a strong preference for attorneys who remain actively engaged in day-to-day transactional workExperience leading negotiations of construction contracts with sophisticated counterparties and ability to understand the Owner, Subcontractor and/or Contractor's points of viewStrong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential for the candidate to identify legal issues and risks, analyze complex problems, and provide practical and effective solutionsDemonstrated ability to build relationships and influence stakeholdersFlexible, with excellent and timely written and verbal communication skillsAble to lead and follow with equal ease, based on circumstancesDesire to work as part of legal team that is highly collaborativeActive listener, proactive leadership approach, collaborative and communicativeHighly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, while working under tight deadlinesCandidates do not need to meet every qualification to be considered.
