Must-Have: Candidates may not be full-time, part-time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit. Driver's license required for verification of distance.

Description: The position involves working in a fast-paced environment. The unit serves adult and geriatric patients with conditions such as cardiac issues, nephrology, strokes, diabetes, and requires continuous EEG monitoring. Registered Nurses must be prepared to titrate drips, including Cardizem, beta-blockers, and seizure medications. There is a Charge Nurse on each shift who will have an assignment in addition to their responsibilities. Nurse aides or patient care technicians are available on the unit, with a ratio of 1:10 or 2:20, depending on the shift. The schedule will require working every other weekend and every third holiday. There are no call or standby requirements for this position. Floating to medical floors, ICU, or rehab may be necessary based on patient care needs. Attributes that are beneficial for a nurse to be successful in this role include a positive attitude, strong communication skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities. All requests for time off should be submitted upfront and additional requests will not be approved after the initial submission. The facility reserves the right to cancel up to 4 shifts during a 13-week assignment. The charting system utilized is EPIC. The minimum nurse-to-patient ratio is between 1:4 to 1:5.
