Job Summary

Emergency Room (ER) Nurse — Nights — Location unspecified. This role involves providing high-quality emergency care to both adult and pediatric patients in a busy ER setting. The position requires delivering compassionate patient care during 12-hour night shifts, with a focus on handling trauma cases, acute medical conditions, and critical care procedures.

Job Details

• Certifications: Current BLS, PALS, ACLS - American Heart Association (AHA) certifications required.
• Education: Wisconsin RN license or Compact RN license required.
• Experience: Two (2) years of Emergency Department experience within the last 3 years with adult and pediatric populations.
• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week.
• Additional Requirements: Candidates must pass telemetry testing prior to start, with strict passing criteria involving identification of lethal rhythms in adult and pediatric exams.
• Tasks and Skills: Management of arterial lines, BiPAP/CPAP, blood product administration, ventilated patient care, central line care, continuous IV sedation, interpretation of arterial blood gases and dysrhythmias, isolation precautions, IV vasopressors, and management of multisystem organ failure.
• Patient Population: Neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, geriatrics.
• Unit Information: Approximate daily census of 70, with 19 beds, interdisciplinary support, and specialized procedures such as bedside shift reporting and utilization of AIDET and hourly rounding.
• Clinical Responsibilities: Handling trauma cases, managing complex emergency equipment, and ensuring high compliance with barcode scanning.
• Additional Info: Must have minimum of two years of recent acute care experience in ER, with telemetry test pass required.
