Utility Field Application EngineerEaton's ES AMER NAS division is currently seeking a Utility Field Application Engineer. This is a home-based position and candidates for this role must reside within 50 miles of one of the following locations to be considered for this position: Franklin, MA; Syracuse, NY; Clifton Park, NY; Rochester, NY or Windsor, CT.What You'll Do:Position Overview: The primary function of the Utility Field Application Engineer is to achieve acceptability of Eaton's electrical products in the marketplace, while providing technical leadership and mentoring for sales engineers, outside rep agencies and to both internal and external customers. This position will be responsible for leading the design, development and validation of Eaton products and service applications. This position will be familiar with competitive product offerings and be able to position Eaton products to best compete against competitive products.In this function you will:Call on electrical engineers at related utility customers and consulting firms across the assigned sales territory to assist with technical design and position Eaton related products in a preferred positionProvide support on major projects including submittals drawings and interfacing with the customer and project consultantsConduct product seminars and training on Eaton products and solutions to end users, distributors, consultants and sales engineersWork with end users to gain acceptance and promote Eaton products Assist customers with design build opportunitiesAssist with technical support for project quotationsAssist with customer factory visits, inspections and witness testsQualifications:Required (Basic) Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution• Minimum seven (7) years of electrical industry sales and/or electrical engineering experience• Possess a valid driver's licenseNo relocation benefit is offered for this position.
