Various Shifts Position Overview: We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced histology technician to join our laboratory team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of histological techniques to prepare tissue samples for pathological examination. Responsibilities:
Various Shifts Position Overview: We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced histology technician to join our laboratory team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of histological techniques to prepare tissue samples for pathological examination. Responsibilities:
- Perform tissue processing, embedding, sectioning, and staining procedures according to established protocols.
- Operate and maintain histology equipment, including microtomes, tissue processors, and staining machines.
- Prepare reagents and solutions used in histological procedures.
- Ensure accuracy and quality control throughout the histology process.
- Maintain laboratory records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with pathologists and other laboratory staff to ensure timely and accurate results.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Associate's degree or equivalent in histotechnology or related field.
- Certification as a Histotechnician (HT) or Histotechnologist (HTL) preferred.
- Minimum of [X] years of experience working in a histology laboratory setting.
- Proficiency in histological techniques, including tissue processing, embedding, sectioning, and staining.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform tasks accurately and efficiently.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Knowledge of laboratory safety procedures and regulations.
