Key Highlights Weekly pay: $2,189–$2,399 per week Guaranteed hours: 36.0 per week Contract duration: 12 weeks Shift: 4x10 days (seven-hour start time reflected in notes; typically 10-hour shifts) Start date: 10/19/2026 Facility/work setting: Short-Term Acute Care Hospital travel assignment Responsibilities Prepare for cardiovascular surgical procedures by establishing and maintaining a sterile field, retracting and passing instruments, supplies, and medications to the surgical team. Scrub open heart and cardiovascular cases as required, solo or with a second scrub, and assist with instrument setup and aseptic technique; perform instrument, sponge, needle, and blade counts with the RN. Maintain equipment and supply inventories, assemble appropriate instrumentation, and ensure orderly sterile fields for expedient case progression. Collaborate with surgeons, nursing staff, and anesthesia to support successful case flow; assist with data collection and documentation per unit standards. Transport patients and support unit operations; perform routine clerical duties and light housekeeping as needed. Leverage EPIC or similar electronic health record systems for charting and case data when applicable; participate in ongoing team training and open-heart case support as requested.
