Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Travel Job

Respiratory Therapist Opportunity in Salem, MA

We're hiring an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a local hospital in Salem, MA where you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders. The role requires competence with ventilator management, arterial blood gas sampling, and care across ICU and medical/surgical populations. Clinicians will chart in EPIC and work within a multidisciplinary team to support patient respiratory needs.

Minimum Requirements:

• Associate or bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science.
• CRT or RRT credential from the NBRC. One year of experience as an RRT preferred; minimum 2 years of acute care ventilator experience required.
• Active Massachusetts Respiratory Therapist license in good standing.
• Demonstrated ability to draw arterial blood gases.
• BLS certification.
• Experience with PB980 ventilator and Hamilton T1 transport ventilator preferred.
• Experience working in acute care environments such as medical/surgical floors, ICU, or emergency department preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience using EPIC for clinical documentation.
• Experience working in a hospital with mixed med/surg and critical care populations.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 1900–07:30 (nights).
• Rotation: night position is straight nights; day position may rotate to 11:00–23:00 when needed.
• Clinician-to-patient staffing context: approximately 4 therapists on nights; staffing levels include additional therapists on day and evening shifts.
